West Ham United FC vs Chelsea FC in the opening match of the Premier League weekend on Saturday

Both teams to score, Jarrod Bowen and Mykhailo Mudryk to have 2+ shots on target, and over 3.5 match cards

Just over a month ago, West Ham went on a run of six losses in seven league games, and David Moyes was under intense pressure in his position as manager because many fans wanted him fired.

Moreover, the Irons have only lost one of their last six matches in all competitions, and with four wins in their last five meetings with Chelsea, they will be confident of climbing the table following Saturday’s match.

Moyes’ side is currently one point above the relegation zone, which they escaped three weeks ago with a win over Everton.

The fact that the east London team has dropped four of its previous five games at home across all competitions will be worrisome, but Graham Potter’s Chelsea team is also struggling going into the weekend.

Potter’s sides have gone undefeated in six meetings against Moyes’ teams

The Blues have spent almost £550 million on transfers so far this season, yet they are still ninth in the standings, 10 points outside of the Champions League spots and below teams like Fulham, Brentford, and Brighton.

With just one win in their previous seven games across all competitions, Potter’s team will hope that a victory this weekend will spark some confidence and a strong run of form ahead of their Champions League clash at Borussia Dortmund next week.

The fact that Potter’s sides have gone undefeated in six meetings against Moyes’ teams will give him confidence, even though four of those games have resulted in draws.
