The Blues and Germany forward has reportedly been placed on the transfer list this summer after just one season in west London

Sky Germany are saying that the Blues are ‘asking around’ to see which clubs may be interested in taking Werner off their hands despite just one season in West London.
Timo Werner arrived at Chelsea last summer, but struggled in front of goals on occasions during his first term in England – but still finished the campaign as the club’s joint-top scorer with 12 goals in all competitions.
The Germany international moved to a new country in the middle of a Covid-19 pandemic, where his interaction with friends and family will have been limited, which made the £45m move even more difficult.

The German striker put the 2020/21 season down to bad luck more than anything else.
Speaking to the media following a 2-1 win against Leicester City in May, where the striker had two goals ruled out for an offside and handball, Werner described the 2020/21 season as the “unluckiest” he has suffered.
“It’s been the unluckiest season I’ve ever had,” Werner told the Sky Sports cameras back in May.
“I think the first-half it was a picture of the whole season for me. Until now, I think every time I was close but at the end not really close.
“I think for me maybe the unluckiest season I’ve ever had or I ever will have maybe.”

Despite rumours of a departure from Stamford Bridge, Werner’s agent Karlheinz Forsterbe told Sport1 his client was comfortable at the west London club.
“You can’t rule out anything, but if I had to assess it at the moment, then I would say very clearly that Timo will stay at Chelsea,” Forsterbe said.
“He feels comfortable there. A move will not be an issue in the foreseeable future.”
