Chelsea’s initial run of clearing out a lot of unwanted squad players went really well, but things have slowed down a lot since then.

The remaining first team squad players who we want to shift includes Romelu Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech, and academy product Callum Hudson-Odoi. The first two aren’t gathering much attention, but CHO is the opposite.

Report from this morning reinforces the idea that the midfielder “wants to leave ASAP,” and there’s certainly interest – Kinsella adds that Chelsea have already rejected two bids from Fulham for him.

Now we just have to be patient – we’re sure negotiations are going on in the background, and a solution will eventually be found for Hudson-Odoi. He will be frustrated by this delay however – he’s missing crucial preseason time with his potential new club, and isn’t even getting up to speed with Chelsea, as he’s been left at home at Cobham rather than joining the tour.
