Roman Abramovich, who watched the FIFA Club World Cup final from the stands in Abu Dhabi, has been spotted hugging and giving a warm embrace to Blues centre-forward Lukaku in the post-match celebrations. It certainly looks like a very friendly encounter between the pair.

Chelsea owner Abramovich got to see £97.5million investment Lukaku score in the weekend’s cup final, along with £71million match-winner Kai Havertz pop up with a goal in extra-time.
The Lukaku interview saga definitely looks buried now and there doesn’t appear to be any bad blood.

Abramovich was reportedly pleased at the time with how Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel dealt with the Lukaku interview controversy, dropping the 28-year-old striker for one game after he publicly shared his frustration with his position.
The Belgian forward has reached 10 goals in all competitions now this season after two more during the Club World Cup tournament, but he’s really going to be judged on what he can do during the business months of the campaign ahead.
