Twitter reacts as Arsenal make it 5 Premier League wins in a row after 2-1 triumph over Aston Villa

With momentum on their side, Arsenal defeated Aston Villa 2-1 at the Emirates on Wednesday, August 31 to extend their winning streak in the Premier League to five games. The Gunners got out to a strong start, as was to be anticipated from a club in form in such a high-intensity match.
With some aggression in the match, Aston Villa attempted to halt them, and challenges came flying in from all sides. They were mostly compelled to defend in their own half because they were unable to pose a danger to Arsenal in the final third.
The team of Mikel Arteta demonstrated a high level of productivity and regularly questioned Emiliano Martinez.
In the 23rd minute, Bukayo Saka was presented with the first real opportunity when Gabriel Martinelli fisted a square pass across the goal after doing some excellent work on the opposing flank. Saka failed to direct the ball into an open net with a nice finishing touch.
Gabriel Jesus eventually broke the tie after seven minutes of deft labor. Moving forward, Granit Xhaka attempted a goal-bound shot that the Villa goalie was unable to stop. The Brazilian forward immediately pounced on the ball after it rebounded off his hand and scored.
Arsenal show strong mentality to restore lead within minutes
Arsenal continued to be the dominant team in the second half, but they weren’t as effective as they were in the first. Their attempts to double the lead didn’t succeed, suggesting that they may have let up a little on the throttle.
They ultimately paid the price for their final third inconsistency as Steven Gerrard’s team scored against the flow of play.
Throughout the game, the Gunners supporters were quite outspoken on Twitter and expressed their emotions. Here are just a few of their responses.
