In a thrilling derby that had Twitter abuzz, Manchester City romped to a 6-3 victory over cross-city rivals Manchester United.
Erling Haaland, who was unavoidably the highlight of the performance, has captured everyone’s attention with an incredible hat-trick.
After excellent work from Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden gave the Cityzens the lead in the eighth minute with a deft finish from close range.
In the 34th minute, Haaland scored his first goal by heading in a Kevin De Bruyne corner.
The forward added a second in just three minutes. Once more, the link between De Bruyne and the Norwegian was a success.
After De Bruyne’s assist, Haaland slid in from the back post in the 37th minute.
Foden scored his second of the day thanks to an incredible team goal in the 44th minute. Haaland provided the assist as Manchester City quickly broke.
It was a day to forget for Manchester United and a game that will live long in the memory of any Manchester City supporter.
