Chelsea FC players are thrilled at the idea of Mauricio Pochettino becoming the club’s next permanent manager.

Following a series of encouraging negotiations between the Argentine and Chelsea FC, Mauricio Pochettino has emerged as the favorite to succeed Graham Potter on a permanent basis.

The process, which was overseen by co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, is expected to result in Chelsea choosing Pochettino as their new manager in the near future.

The potential hiring of Mauricio Pochettino has been well received by the Chelsea FC player, with the team reportedly positive and excited about his possible appointment.

Chelsea’s England players have international team-mates who worked under Pochettino at Tottenham Hotspur, and his coaching abilities, as well as his reputation as a good man-manager and motivator, are well-known in the squad.

Mauricio Pochettino is also regarded as a coach with a level of profile and experience, having previously coached PSG, that some of Chelsea FC’s more experienced and accomplished players expect.

The signing of Pochettino, however, would not be good news for all of Chelsea FC’s players, as the 51-year-old would support plans for a clear-out in order to reduce the current 31-man squad in time for pre-season.

Mauricio Pochettino leads a three-man shortlist that includes Vincent Kompany and an anonymous applicant. Chelsea FC conducted extensive due diligence on Arne Slot of Feyenoord and Ange Postecoglou of Celtic.

Mauricio Pochettino’s connection with Tottenham Hotspur had previously caused Chelsea FC some concern, but those worries have since much diminished, and the Argentine is believed not to view it as a problem as he has not yet been contacted about the vacancy at Tottenham Hotspur.
