Chelsea prospect Xavier Mbuyamba uploaded a picture of himself training with the first team yesterday – and some Blues supporters on Twitter are extremely excited about his future.

Mbuyamba posted an image on Twitter training with the senior group on Thursday alongside Hakim Ziyech.
The 19-year-old was pictured training with the first team for the very first time back on 3 September, so it’s great to see him still around Thomas Tuchel’s main group.
A selection of Blues supporters on social media are tipping Mbuyamba for big things after seeing him training this week.
The 6ft 5in Dutch defender is comfortable playing out from the back and reads the game well. He’s strong in the air, too.
He’s a ball-playing centre-back that has massively impressed with the Under-23s, starring as a regular in the Premier League 2 division.

Here are some Chelsea fans replying to Mbuyamba on social media:
Things you love to see — Kay (@KenJustus1) I totally forgot we have an amazing defender like you incase Rudiger or Christensen leaves. We are truly blessed💙💙 — TJnstyn (@TJnstyn) Silva replacement end of year — Fern (@FernsCFC) Your time will come — mason mount (@ceekay81022340) The future captain — Ivan Frank Waiswa (@IvanWaiswa10) You got this 👊💙 — Shaun Peens (@ShaunPeens) Soon — Cyprian (@NdiemaJr)
The 19-year-old prospect is yet to make his senior debut since his move from Barcelona to Stamford Bridge in 2020. However, the defender did feature on the first-team bench last month during the Carabao Cup victory against Aston Villa.
