Christian Pulisic made his highly anticipated come-back from injury last night for Chelsea during their Champions League victory over Malmo.
Pulisic replaced Callum Hudson-Odoi on the 74th minute, marking his first club appearance since the Premier League’s opening weekend in August.
The 23-year-old had been nursing an ankle injury sustained whilst representing the American national team. Two months of struggles and setbacks were finally put right yesterday.
Although the forward was only on for a flash, it was enough to warm the hearts of fans and teammates alike.
Mason Mount posted a message to Twitter in response to Pulisic’s long-awaited return from his pain and suffering.

Mount also shared his joy at full-time, after seeing his teammates pick up a 1-0 win.

Although the moment was extremely poignant, making a cameo against Malmo is just a small step in the long journey ahead for the USMNT captain. Obviously, avoiding any more physical wounds has to be top of the agenda.
