Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone admitted that the English top flight is the toughest and strongest league in Europe right now.
However, Simeone who just won the Laliga title has also expressed his admiration for Chelsea. Chelsea went ahead to set up an all-English final against Manchester City after eliminating Atletico Madrid from the tournament [UCL].
What Simeone said:
“Chelsea and City show how good English football looks right now. In the second game [Atletico vs Chelsea], they were better, they won well. And the truth is it makes us happy that the team that got to the final is the one that knocked us out.
“I like how Chelsea play, it will be a great game with City because City have a great team.”
