The West London Club started this EURO campaign with 17 representatives, now there are less than half remaining.
Ethan Ampadu, Mateo Kovacic, Billy Gilmour, Kurt Zouma, N’Golo Kante and Olivier Giroud were all gone, and last night the German trio of Antonio Rudiger, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner joined them.
The Germany international posted the Tweet above to show his disappointment at Germany’s elimination by England.
It certainly was an odd sensation to be cheering against Rudi, Werner and Havertz, and not something we will get used to, but at least England are still carrying three Chelsea lads into the next round – where they will be up against Ukraine, manager by former Blue Andrei Shevchenko.
Andreas Christensen and Michy Batshuayi are still well in the mix, as are Italy pair Jorginho and Emerson Palmieri, and Cesar Azpilicueta for Spain.
In fact, it looks very likely at least one Chelsea player will be lifting the trophy in two weeks time.
