As they get ready to play Everton in their first Premier League game on Saturday night, Chelsea is stepping up its summer transfer activity.

Chelsea announced on Tuesday that they were close to making their fourth signing of the summer, signaling that the club’s summer transfer activity is finally starting to pick up.

At Stamford Bridge, Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Gabriel Slonina are already present. Tuchel then added to his midfield options by bringing in a promising young player from Aston Villa.

Koulibaly said that John Terry has given him permission to wear the renowned number 26 shirt

Chelsea has disclosed that they and Aston Villa have reached a signing agreement for wonderkid Carney Chukwuemenka.

πŸ‘ Thomas Tuchel met Chukwuemeka last week to help convince him in a meeting down at Cobham.

Tuchel looked at the situation in midfield with contracts at Chelsea and thought he could break into the first team in 2023.

πŸ‘€ Arsenal, Liverpool, Man United, AC Milan and Barcelona were all interested in signing Carney.

The midfielder played 11 times for Villa last season but has been defiant about agreeing to a new deal. Because of this stance, Steven Gerrard excluded Chukwuemenka from his preseason preparations and kept him at home while Villa went on a tour of Australia.

He drew a variety of interest from prominent European clubs thanks to his performances at the Under-19 European Championships. And it appears that Chelsea has now signed the highly-rated 18-year-old ahead of those competitors.
