Chelsea could be about to nip in and try and sign a centre back that Manchester United are keen on signing, according to a report this weekend.
As we know, Chelsea have some major injury issues at the back, with Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana both on the injury list right now. The aforementioned is not too serious, but Fofana is expected to be on the sidelines for months and will undergo surgery for an ACL injury.
Chelsea have been rumoured to be wanting to enter the centre back market before the summer transfer window ends, but it is not yet clear whether they definitely will or not.
One player they could look to push for is Monaco defender Axel Disasi, who is also being tracked by Manchester United.
The Sun report that Monaco may yet sell Disasi this window so Erik Ten Hag is on alert — especially if Diogo Dalot leaves Old Trafford.
But Arsenal and Chelsea could be ready to nip in with a bid.
It’s thought that Monaco rate the four-cap Frenchman at around £34million.
