According to reports from Brazil, Chelsea has spoken with Raphael Veiga, a Palmeiras attacking midfielder.
The Blues are one of several Premier League clubs who have gotten in touch about a prospective transfer, reported Goal.
Despite the consecutive successful windows, the Blues appear prepared to not hold back when the transfer window opens again at the end of the season.
January in particular was a busy month for owner Todd Boehly, which saw him eventually smash the club’s transfer record.
He did this to finally get the deal to bring in Enzo Fernandez from Benfica, after fierce negotiations with the Portuguese side made it look as if they were set to miss out on the deal all together.
One January signing who has brought plenty of excitement despite not yet featuring for them is Andrey Santos.
Chelsea make contact with Veiga
The youngster has been signed with a lot of hype surrounding him, that so far seems to have been backed up by his performances at the recent U20 South American championships.
Now, they are reportedly looking back at Brazil for their next potential signing. Goal have claimed that they have already made contact over potentially signing Veiga.

The 27-year-old has five goals and six assists in 2023, making it easy to see why a side the calibre of Chelsea would be interested in a deal.
It is worth remembering though that they are set to bring in Christopher Nkunku at the end of the season, with them reaching a deal to sign him already this summer.
As well as that, they will need to make a decision over the future of Joao Felix. The Portugal international has been impressing at Stamford Bridge, but of course he is only currently at the club on loan.
