Thomas Tuchel will be hoping to bring in one or two new faces during the close season

During a major summer international tournament you are always going to see the usual reports linking certain players in the competition to new clubs.

Perhaps a link that becomes even easier in this case due to everyone being fully aware that Chelsea are in the hunt to sign a new forward this summer.

Having said that, the next player they are linked with here doesn’t really fit the profile of player they have been looking it for striker, but then they have also been linked with wanting to sign a new wide player as well.

However, Napoli publication Il Mattino are reporting that Chelsea are interested in signing Italian international Lorenzo Insigne, who is have a good Euros for Italy this summer alongside Chelsea boys Jorginho and Emerson Palmieri.

The report, picked up by The Daily Star, says that there is a β€˜silence’ over new contract negotiations for Insigne, with his deal running out in 2022.
