There are rumors that Atletico Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo are in communication.

When it seemed as though Cristiano Ronaldo had no other options and would eventually return to Manchester United, there came Diego Simeone.

WILL RONALD RETURN TO MADRID?

Despite the United board’s assurance that he is not for sale, Atletico Madrid is eager to provide the 37-year-old with the Old Trafford exit he desires this summer. That’s the tale, at least, according to AS.

However, the article does show how challenging it might be for Atletico to work out a deal with the Red Devils. The Rojiblancos, who need to make a few euros this summer, are already having trouble offloading players. They had to raise almost £35 million before they became interested in Ronaldo.

Although Ronaldo has links to Real, Atletico have moved from being “bystanders” to making direct contact with the Portuguese superstar’s agents. As a result, Ronaldo is open to the move despite his links to Real.

Or could it be that Ronaldo’s representatives are exploiting Atletico in the same manner they did with City last year in the hopes that Real, like unite, would be duped into buying him?

Ten Hag is absolutely positive about the idea of guiding United in another major trophy fight, and despite the challenge of returning the team to its rightful position, he is tremendously determined to accomplish so.

Ten Hag is ‘looking forward to working’ with Ronaldo at Old Trafford.

When speaking with the PA news agency:
“It is clear – he is not for sale,” he said after training in Melbourne. “I planned with (having) him and I am looking forward to working with him.
