Portsmouth Football Club is an English professional association football club in Portsmouth, Hampshire. The club currently compete in EFL League One, the third tier of the English football league system. The club was founded on 5 April 1898 and home matches are played at Fratton Park.
This scholarship is awarded by Portsmouth Football Club to inspire and support local young people to achieve. It provides £3,000 a year towards undergraduate course fees for a maximum of 3 years, as well as the opportunity to gain work experience at the football club.
Who can apply
You could get this scholarship if you:
- Are under 25 at the start of your course
- Are studying your first full-time undergraduate degree
- Apply for a full time undergraduate course starting in Autumn 2022
- Meet one of these criteria
- international Student and know ow to play football
- you are the first in your family to go to university or:
- have a household income of £25,000 or below

How will the scholarship be awarded?
There is one scholarship available for University of Portsmouth students each year. You’ll need to meet the criteria and grade requirements for your chosen course in order to receive the scholarship.
The scholarship panel’s decision on the allocation of the scholarship is in accordance with the terms and conditions and is final. There is no appeals process.
How will the scholarship be paid?
£3,000 will be deducted from your tuition fee annually in your first 3 years of study (excluding placement or study abroad years).
You’ll be able to receive this scholarship in addition to other University of Portsmouth scholarships or bursaries that you’re eligible for.

You’ll need to complete a brief application to demonstrate how studying at the University of Portsmouth and being awarded this scholarship will make a difference to your future and why your situation merits the additional financial support. You’ll need to submit your application by 30 June 2022.
