Chelsea F.C. have paid €60m plus bonuses to sign RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku, who has already signed his contract with the Blues.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the player is ‘all set’ to make the move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

They report that the deal taking Christopher Nkunku to London has been done ‘for weeks’ and the Blues have ‘not skimped’ on payment to secure the forward’s signature.

FM report that the Chelsea have paid €60m plus bonuses to sign the Leipzig star, a figure which is more than the player’s release clause.

The former PSG man was Todd Boehly’s ‘top priority’ for the transfer window and Nkunku was ‘attracted by the project’ presented to him during talks.

He spent three outstanding seasons with Leipzig in the Bundesliga, and he is now “set to discover” the Premier League.

For Boehly and Graham Potter, who will have access to a fresh attacking talent, the Frenchman’s contract with Chelsea F.C. is anticipated to be one that is long-term.

After progressing through the club’s youth system, he has gone on to score 21 goals for the Eliteserien side this season, helping the club win the Norwegian title. He is the most recent in a long line of talented players to emerge from the club.

He has already stated that he is a huge fan of the Blues and that joining the club would be a dream come true. “Chelsea have been my favorite club since I was a little,” the Ivorian forward told TV2 earlier this year.
