Reece James was welcomed back to Chelsea training by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang through a cheeky yet thoughtful social media exchange.

After a protracted absence due to injuries, James rejoined Graham Potter’s team to mix with some of the players.

Potter made the choice to add the England international to the 25-man roster before they flew to Abu Dhabi for more World Cup preparation.

Once James is available for competitive action, the manager, supporters, and players will all be thrilledβ€”a feeling of excitement that is already permeating the camp.

To celebrate the defender’s advancement, Aubameyang and the defense engaged in a funny back-and-forth on each other’s Instagram stories.

The seasoned striker opened the show with a photograph of himself asking James, who had his hands in his head, a question.

The same photo with the text “It’s been a while bro” was subsequently James’ response. Remains rusty.

With that same image and the words “No worries you back that’s the most important,” Aubameyang ended the chat.
