
According to the report from Football.London, Chelsea youngster Xavier Mbuyamba is ready to kick-start his Chelsea career next season after his long-term injury return.
Mbuyamba who is nicknamed ‘new Virgil van Dijk’ was signed for Chelsea on August 2020 from Barcelona.
The 19-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Blues. However, Mbuyamba upon his arrival from Barcelona has endured a difficult season in Chelsea due to injury problems.
The youngster underwent a serious surgery and began his recovery programme in September, and was expected to miss around four months of action.
Fortunately, Mbuyamba returned to training in January, and was looking forward to make his first appearance for the Chelsea, the Dutchman was advised to undergo another minor operation on his knee.
Mbuyamba had been working hard at the Blues’ Cobham training, after returning from the second operation.
He made his first appearance for Chelsea’s development team in April, coming up from bench and scoring during a 3-1 victory against Southampton. He went to start four games before the season reached its end.
The 19-year-old has now make a cry on social media that is ready to start his Chelsea career next season.
