A major developing story that could affect one of Chelsea’s priority transfer chases this summer is gathering pace.
The main significant factor in whether Chelsea make their move to sign Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku this summer or not, depends on whether Antonio Conte stays at the club as manager, as we exclusively revealed on Si & Dan Talk Chelsea recently.
As we also reported, Lukaku has become a priority for Chelsea in the striker position this summer, as they hunt for a new big name, but other strong sources such as The Telegraph have also confirmed Chelsea’s interest in Lukaku.
So what is this major development? Well, it’s a pretty big claim from Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, who say that Conte could leave Inter within the next 48 hours due to the club still struggling financially, asking players and staff to take wage cuts, and having to make major player sells this summer, with Lukaku’s name mentioned as a possible name to go.
This is certainly one to keep a close eye on over the next day or two…
