While he did not clearly state whether he thought his opponent Tyrone Mings deserved a red card, he did make a suggestion that Liverpool FC should. “carry on” and “accept” the decision that Brooks made.
“It was a heavy hit but the ref decided to give a yellow card then we have to just carry on,” Gakpo told Astro Super Sport, per the Liverpool Echo. “We just play and accept it.”
“It was painful,” Gakpo added. “I just hope it wasn’t anything serious and that I could play through. I was okay.”
