Chelsea moved six points clear at the top of the Premier League by winning 3-0 at Leicester, albeit they’ve now played a game extra than the teams below them. Antonio Rudiger, N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic were all on the scoresheet for the visitors.

In fairness, the Blues were totally dominant at the King Power Stadium and may be frustrated they didn’t score more after having goals ruled out for offsides. The statistic of 30 goals scored and four conceded in the opening 12 league matches highlights the team’s sensational form.

Pundit Ferdinand hailed Chelsea star James after his contribution on Saturday. He believes the 21-year-old right wing-back bullied opponents Leicester.

Ferdinand told BT Sport 1 (2:25pm, 20 November): “Reece James, who I thought was like a man playing against boys.

England international James was a colossus once again in his latest Blues display. The right wing-back is playing the best football of his career so far by contributing going forward, as well as showing great strength and athleticism off the ball.

Ferdinand gave a special shoutout to Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy for his effort today:

“He (Mendy) has been magnificent. The clean sheets that he’s amassing at the moment is phenomenal,” Ferdinand told BT SPORT 1 (2:25pm, 20 November).

The 29-year-old wasn’t particularly busy against Leicester, but did pull off two excellent saves in the second period to show all the traits of a top shot-stopper.
