The Blues players become rivals tonight in a big Euros match.

Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, and Antonio Rudiger meet Mason Mount, Ben Chilwell, and Reece James in the round of 16 for a place in the Quarter Finals of the competition.

The 6 Chelsea players just lifted the Champions League trophy together, but now these close friends and team mates will become rivals for one night only.

The historical nature behind this fixture will surely add even more juice to the occasion, and Havertz has revealed that there have been some chats between the 6 of the them when they realised they would be facing up against each other in the knockout stages.

As reported by the Chelsea website, Havertz said:

“There’s definitely been a bit of chat between us all.

‘Timo and Toni also get on well with our Chelsea team-mates. It’s clear that you sometimes have a chat or two before the game.

“It’s not like we’re in contact every day, but before a game like this, you sometimes write each other text messages.

‘The only advantage that us players who play in England have is that we probably know a little better how their football is played.

“We’ve still got a number of experienced players, though, who have already played against England.

“It will be a special game for me of course. I have already played at Wembley once or twice. It’s a big game for everyone and we’ll do all we can to make sure we leave as winners.”

That will be a tough cracker!!
