Kai Havertz has reportedly missed a couple of days training during international duty because of an injury problem.
According to Bild, the 22-year-old missed a training session with Germany on Tuesday because of a pain in his thigh. It is understood that the £150,000-a-week man then missed yet another training session the following day due to the same injury issue.
Havertz was unavailable for his country through suspension during their World Cup qualifying match on Thursday against Liechtenstein.
He’s still part of the Germany camp, though, so you’d suspect his injury isn’t too severe. However, it’s always a concern for supporters when they hear injury news about players away on international duty.
Havertz took a heavy collision into the crowd during Chelsea’s 1-1 draw at the weekend against Burnley, so it’s pure guesswork that he’s still feeling the impact of that.
Germany play again this Sunday away to Armenia, so Blues supporters should hope to see Havertz involved in some context.
