The Blues manager Thomas Tuchel has had his say on the Premier League title race after both Liverpool and Manchester failed to pick up three points on Saturday.

As it stands, the Blues are three points clear at the top of the Premier League table after securing a 3-0 away win over Newcastle United.
Reece James, in particular, stole the spotlight with his two brilliant strikes before Jorginho eventually put the game to bed with a penalty goal.
While the win was rather expected given Newcastle’s winless record this season, it could prove to be decisive as Chelsea’s two closest league rivals; Liverpool and Manchester City surprisingly dropped points.
Liverpool drew 2-2 with Brighton at Anfield, while Pep Guardiola’s men suffered a shock 2-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace.
However, Tuchel insisted he prefers to focus on his team’s performance than paying too much attention to other teams’ results.
Tuchel told Chelsea TV when asked about the impact that Liverpool and Manchester City’s results could have on Chelsea’s title charge.
“Calm down, if you think we’re inside, celebrating other results — it’s not like this. Congratulating the team for their performance and the effort that we put in — this is what counts.

“It’s a long way to go. It’s not the moment. I don’t feel comfortable celebrating other results. What goes around, comes around. So put the feet on the ground and enjoy the moment, we did a good match and had a great result.”
