Christian Pulisic has now claimed he wished he had been given more opportunities during his time at Chelsea.
He told ESPN that he was proud of his time at Chelsea, although did hope for more opportunities to be ‘the guy’.
Yesterday saw Pulisic’s time at Stamford Bridge officially come to an end as he was announced as a new player for AC Milan.
He has joined a host of former Blues in the Italian capital. Olivier Giroud, Fikayo Tomori and recent addition Ruben Loftus-Cheek are all awaiting him.
The American recently endured another campaign where starts were at a premium.
He has now claimed he wished he had been handed more opportunities fo play for the Blues.
He said: “I’m definitely proud. Winning major cup finals, being on the pitch to help my team. Being on the pitch to win some of those trophies – Champions League, Super Cup, all that stuff. I thought I had a lot of great moments at Chelsea and I was really happy with my time there.
“I definitely enjoyed it and learnt a lot as a player, and I grew a lot and at the end of the day I’m really proud but at the same time I’m definitely ready for this next challenge.
“Of course I’d like to think so [could’ve had more opportunities], there are definitely times where I wish I could’ve got more of an opportunity and been that guy, but for whatever reason that’s not the case. But like I said I’m just so excited for this new challenge.”
Despite showing his quality on numerous occasions, it did seem best for both parties that he moved on to another challenge.
