Tammy Abraham scored Chelsea’s first goal of pre-season against Peterborough, opening the floodgates for the Blues to win 6-1.

Though he seems in good spirits this summer, Abraham was struggling under Tuchel towards the end of last season.

However, he has now come in for praise from his manager, who told chelseafc.com,

I like that he overcame obstacles in his career and he has the spirit to make it at Chelsea.

This is one of the toughest challenges that you can face, but he is ready for that.”

Following his comments about the striker, it’s likely he will be remaining at Stamford Bridge as Tuchel’s latest formation switch test plays in cord with his comments.

Seemingly, the duo are in a much better place than when the German left Tammy out of his matchday squad numerous times last season.
