Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell was disappointed that the Gunners didn’t make a concerted effort to sign Tammy Abraham in the summer.

The 23-year-old was a target for the Gunners but the forward ended up moving to Roma instead for €40m (£34m) last month. Campbell feels the ex-Chelsea player would have been a great addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
When asked if Arsenal would be regretting not signing Abraham, Campbell told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “Honestly, do not get me started!
“I truly believe Arsenal missed a trick because we still do not have anyone up the top end of the pitch who is a physical presence. Abraham causes teams a problem just by being there. It is a big trick missed. I cannot believe we didn’t go for it.”

“Abraham does not get the credit he deserves. He is a damn good player. I have been watching him since he was in the youth teams. I could tell back then that he was going to be some player.”
Abraham has had a superb start to life in Italy, scoring once and providing two assists in his three appearances so far. It is very much a case of ‘what might have been’ for Arsenal.
