Chelsea Starboy, Tammy Abraham joined Italian giants AS Roma last summer to join hands with the Special One, Jose Mourinho and we signed Romelu Lukaku to replace him.

The figures behind the replacement also matters as we let Tammy depart for around £40 million, and signing Lukaku for about £97.5 million.

Eventhough it’s not yet time to say whether we’hv made a mistake or not, we can definitly argue that Tammy’s 2021/22 season, with 17 goals to his name, has had a better season than the Belgian has had, as he has scored just 8 so far.

What’s more impressive is that Tammy had even managed 18 goals in his first full season for Chelsea, and we now have a good news, as reported by Fabrizio Romano that Roma director Tiago Pinto confirmed the Buy-back clause that exists.

He has confirmed that an agreement does exist, but that he ‘isn’t worried’ as it only kicks in from 2023, giving us a big chance to re-sign the London-born forward again.

This even gives us the chance to look at both striker’s performances in next season too, before deciding to call Tammy back.
