Campbell described Lukaku as ‘unplayable and incredible player’ after the striker marked his Chelsea’s second debut with series of eye-catching performances at Emirates stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Chelsea striker, Lukaku wrestled and bullied the Gunners defence all afternoon as the Blues cruised to a 2-0 victory at the Emirates, with their new £98m man firing the opener on his second debut.

The Ex-Inter Milan striker received the ball with his back to goal on 15 minutes, shrugged off Pablo Mari as the ball was worked to Reece James on the right and then stayed onside to tap home his first English Premier League goal for the Blues.

However, Sol Campbell might have been backing the pitiful Gunners on Sunday but he couldn’t help but lavish praise on their rivals’ new front-man.

He’s learned a hell of a lot from Italy,’ the former Gunners centre-back said on Sky Sports punditry duty.

‘Conte has got him up to speed and he’s acknowledged that. He’s talking to Thierry (Henry) as well, Drogba.

He wants to learn and continue learning and that’s fantastic to hear. Today he was unplayable, incredible.’

Manchester United icon Roy Keane added: ‘He’s the real deal. We think he’s brilliant already but from the few interviews we’ve heard, he’s more mature more of a team player.

That link up play today, he possibly got criticised a bit at Manchester United for that. He’s gone to Italy, got success in the league – not just himself but as a team – and brought it back to Chelsea.

‘We talk about the fee involved, you’re paying £40-50 million for players with potential, they bought the real deal for £98million. It’s just a no brainer.

‘Man City win the league and they buy Grealish – a statement. Chelsea win the European Cup they go get Lukaku. Just sending messages to the opposition to say “we mean business.”
