Roy Keane has excitedly predicted that there is a lot more to come from Chelsea star.
Pundit and ex-Premier League star Keane delivered a glowing verdict on Chelsea defender Reece James after watching his international performance on Friday night.
The 21-year-old shined for England during a 5-0 demolition of Albania in a World Cup qualifier. The right wing-back provided a beautiful assist from a free-kick and was a brilliant offensive threat.
Roy Keane waxed lyrical about the defender. He told ITV 1: “He’s such a powerful lad and you think, if he’s got half a brain, he’s got so much more potential. He’s playing for a big club, challenging for trophies, playing in the Champions League, this kid can only get much better,”
James has started the season strongly for club and country. He is a regular in the Chelsea team right now, something which has been forced on manager Thomas Tuchel due to his outrageous form.
If Chelsea want to stay at the top of the league this season for the duration, you’d suspect the defence will need to continue in the same vein of form. The goals are being spread around the team right now to get them over the line in most games.
