Thomas Tuchel was full of praise for Christian Pulisic’s goalscoring display in Saturday’s win over Leicester City.

The Blues were very dominant and already had a two-goal lead at half-time, thanks to Antonio Rudiger’s header and N’Golo Kante’s incredible goal. But it was pretty clear that Tuchel wanted his team to put the game to bed with a third goal.

The third goal eventually came, but not before Tuchel’s introduction of Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech just past the hour mark.

Tuchel was clearly impressed by the American’s performance, as he said Chelsea need players with his positioning in the final third. Tuchel said about Pulisic’s goalscoring display in the post-match press conference.

"This is top quality from him. He gives something of course in terms of sprints, repetitive sprints, intensity on and off the ball. But at the end of the attacks, he is hungry to score, he arrives in the box and this is where we need players also, to be dangerous and to score.”

Pulisic found the back of the net twice on the day, but his second goal was called back for an offside moments before.
