Graham Potter’s fortunes could change as a result of the loan signing of Joao Felix and the returns of other Chelsea F.C. players, notably Reece James, N’Golo Kante, and Raheem Sterling.
Chelsea Online News:

In order to prevent their season from stalling, Chelsea is in dire need of reinforcements.

The Blues are currently tenth in the Premier League after eight games with just one victory, and they have also been eliminated from the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

While the team’s injury record hasn’t helped matters, the results haven’t exactly been spectacular.

Edouard Mendy, Raheem Sterling, Christian Pulisic, Reece James, Wesley Fofana, Ben Chilwell, N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Armando Broja are among the players now ruled out for Chelsea.

There is hope that Potter’s team may improve in the coming days, but attack is one area where they now appear particularly lacking.

With Chelsea agreeing to pay a £10 million transfer fee and all of Joao Felix’s £250,000 weekly earnings, a deal to loan Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid till the end of the current campaign is all but finalized.

Felix, who cost Atletico £113 million in 2019, has scored just 25 league goals in 96 appearances. Felix has struggled to get starts under Diego Simeone, something he’ll be looking to change at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will have a formidable team once Felix joins them and all of their players have recovered.

At Stamford Bridge, Kepa Arrizabalaga is now the top pick, but Mendy will be looking to regain his form when he eventually recovers from his fractured finger.

Fofana is still injured in defense, but if everyone is back to full strength, he’ll probably start with Thiago Silva and Kalidou Koulibaly.

With James and Chilwell in place, Chelsea appears to be a different team down the flanks. Supporters clamour to see both players down each side of the field.

A fully fit N’Golo Kante would probably replace Jorginho because Mateo Kovacic is a crucial member of Potter’s team. However, it’s unclear when the soon-to-be-out-of-contract star will be fully recovered.

Although Chelsea currently lacks a lot of attacking players, Sterling will be most sorely missed.

In the early stages of his Chelsea arrival, the England star was beginning to find his form; but, injuries have slowed his development.

Chelsea have a number of attacking players currently out, however it’s Sterling who will be most missed. The England star was starting to find his form in the early parts of his Chelsea career but injuries have stunted his progress.

Mason Mount will remain in Chelsea’s best XI, however it’s essential that he finds his best form once again following a difficult few months.

The hope would be that Felix will have the freedom to play his natural game and display his undeniable brilliance during his few months in the Premier League, with Broja out injured and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failing to impress since moving from Barcelona.
