The Blues maintained an unbeaten start to the season by comprehensively winning 3-0 away to Spurs on Sunday afternoon.

Silva, N’Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger all got themselves on the scoresheet during a second half where the visitors ran riot.
The 36-year-old Thiago Silva showed his class and experience against Spurs. The Brazilian got his first goal of the season, plus the way he defended so calmly and authoritatively against the Spurs attackers was top quality.
Blues manager Thomas Tuchel raved about Silva after his display. He said:
“He almost scored twice. He’s so strong. The delivery was good for his goal. We are very happy that he was able to score and open the game for us. His performance, even in the first half, was outstanding. Fantastic performance,”
Thiago Silva is a massive leader within the dressing room at Stamford Bridge and it must be brilliant for younger players to have him as a role model they can work alongside every day.
