Some very interesting and exciting news has come out on Wednesday morning surrounding Chelsea’s pursuit of Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
Chelsea have been provided some hope in their attempts to prise Erling Haaland away from Borussia Dortmund this summer, with the striker not ruling out a move.
The main stumbling block so far in negotiations is Borussia Dortmund’s stance on this potential deal.
In this case, it’s literally from nothing. Christian Falk of Sport Bild has just reported an exchange he and other journalists had with Erling Haaland, presumably at Dortmund’s preseason camp.
Haaland has been linked endlessly with a huge-money transfer to Chelsea in recent weeks, and the journalists decided to ask him directly about his future. They asked Haaland whether he is staying at Dortmund this summer, and his response will excite Chelsea fans and add more fuel to the fire.
Instead of saying yes I am staying, he simply smiled and said nothing at all.
Dortmund are making it as hard as possible for Chelsea to attain the Norwegian International this summer and have therefore placed a £150m price tag on the 20-year-old.
Despite this, Abramovich and co have made it their personal missions to do what seems to be like a ‘mission impossible’ transfer in this window.
And Haaland’s latest actions have added fuel to the fire when it comes to the west Londoners’ attempts to complete this big deal.
