Chelsea‘s season has essentially come to an end after this week’s Champions League loss to Real Madrid, allowing them to move quickly to assemble their team for 2023–24.

The Blues were eliminated from the European competition after suffering a 2-0 setback at home on Tuesday night, adding to their 2-0 loss in Real Madrid a week earlier.

The large first-team squad has been a source of concern for Chelsea all season.

That may no longer be the case, as a number of the club’s players have been linked with a summer move away from west London.

Goals will be crucial for Chelsea’s upcoming campaign. Romelu Lukaku’s impending return and Christopher Nkunku’s summer transfer from RB Leipzig will both be beneficial. After a failed loan at Inter Milan, Lukaku’s situation needs to be resolved because he may lack suitors going forward.
