Chelsea have made an offer for Dusan Vlahovic, and the Juventus striker is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge, according to a report.
ESPN have reported today that Chelsea have made a bid of €80 million (£70 million) for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.
The Italian giants would consider selling the Serbia international in the summer transfer window.
The £215,000-a-week (SalarySport) striker himself is not happy at Juventus and is keen on a move to Chelsea in the summer of 2023, according to the report.
Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are also reported to be interested in the 23-year-old, described as “a complete centre-forward” who “has physique, a sense for goal, good technique, progression and aerial skills” by Lecce director Pantaleo Corvino in La Gazzetta dello Sport, as transcribed by Football Italia.
Dusan Vlahovic would be a brilliant signing for Chelsea
In our view, Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic would be a brilliant signing for Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old is one of the best young strikers around, and based on the report in ESPN, it seems that a transfer to Chelsea could well happen.
After all, Juventus are willing to sell Vlahovic, who himself is keen on a move to Chelsea.
And the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are ready to pay £70 million for the youngster.
Vlahovic has made 21 starts and five substitute appearances in Serie A for Juventus this season.
The young striker has scored 10 goals and given two assists in those games.
Although Romelu Lukaku is due back at Chelsea next season after his loan spell at Inter Milan, he has had injury problems this season and has not been in great form.
And the Blues cannot rely on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, so they simply have to sign a new number 9 in the summer transfer window.
Vlahovic would be perfect.
