Chelsea’s Levi Colwill has once again refused to speak on his future, despite reports of a summer move to Liverpool.
After a successful loan spell at Brighton, the 20-year-old ended the season with the England Under-21 team, helping them to European glory last weekend.
Levi Colwill was live on Instagram with Blues colleague Noni Madueke after the Three Lions won the European U21 Championships on Saturday night.
Madueke told the viewers watching: “We’re both coming back. He is as well. I will make sure he comes back!”
When one of Chelsea‘s stars tried to persuade fans that he was sticking put in the wake of the remarks, Colwill appeared awkward.
Only three days later, the centre-back’s future was once again addressed, this time on a different Instagram live.
While Colwill was on vacation and relaxing in a swimming pool, a friend addressed speculation with Liverpool, who are interested in signing him.
However, he was on hand to deliver a blunt response as he said: “No football talk, man.”
Brighton is keen to sign Colwill permanently and made a £30 million offer after he impressed in his 24 games for them last season.
However, Chelsea declined it and reportedly made him an offer for a new, long-term contract.
Colwill may undoubtedly start the season as the left center-back if Benoit Badiashile is forced to miss out due to injury.
Thiago Silva, Wesley Fofana, and Trevoh Chalobah are additional options in the back line, but the latter has been linked with a move elsewhere.
Colwill’s future could be yet another transfer saga during the summer transfer season, with Chelsea working real hard to keep their talent.
