Arsenal are closing on a deal for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.

The Sun says several Premier League sides have expressed an interest in Abraham, with Tottenham and West Ham also keen.

However the latter is struggling to meet the club’s valuation and won’t pay more than £30m.

Instead, Chelsea are willing to let Abraham join the Gunners on loan this season provided a £40m obligation-to-buy clause is included in the deal.

The 23-year-old’s £80,000-a-week wages are set to be paid entirely by Mikel Arteta’s side.

Abraham grew up as an Arsenal fan and idolised Thierry Henry, making the move an attractive one.

Should this deal comes to reality, Chelsea would then be free to go ahead with their massive offer to sign a top striker target, largely believed to be either Erling Haaland or Romelu Lukaku.
