Thomas Tuchel Considering Adama Traore Move As Achraf Hakimi Alternative

The Spain international has shone at Molineux in recent times, and certainly seems like he has what it takes to play for an even bigger club.

Thomas Tuchel has asked the Blues’ hierarchy to look into the prospect of signing Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore this summer.

According to a report by Spanish newspaper AS, Tuchel is a big admirer of Adama.

However, the Blue boss want to strengthen three areas of his squad this summer to turn the club back into genuine Premier League title contenders, with a new right-sided defender, a central-midfielder and a striker on his wish list. And strengthening the right flank of Chelsea squad this summer is also Tuchel’s top priority.

The reports have revealed that Chelsea have tabled a big-money bid for Achraf Hakimi and are still believed to be locked in negotiations with the Inter Milan about getting a deal over the line. At the same time, however, French giants Paris Saint-Germain are still in the running and are not giving up hope of getting a deal over the line.

Tuchel seemingly not prepared to wait forever to get a deal done for Hakimi, Thomas Tuchel is keeping his options open, with Wolves man Adama Traore firmly in his mind.

It is reported in Spain that Tuchel has presented Traore’s name to Marina Granovskaia – Chelsea’s transfer guru – and has identified him as the ideal alternative to Hakimi if they cannot strike a deal with Inter to get a deal done.

Tuchel believe seeing his wing-backs bomb forward and join the attack, Traore could be tailor made with his speed and powerful frame.

Hakimi, meanwhile, is a more natural wing-back, comfortable in a defensive sense and equally as comfortable when drifting into the attacking third.

Chelsea have already sold Fikiyo Tomori for £25million to AC Milan, meaning that money could be put towards a potential deal for the Spain international.
