Chelsea F.C. Online News:

According to sources, Chelsea is making progress in negotiations with N’Golo Kante over a new deal and is becoming more optimistic that the midfielder will re-sign.
The French international has experienced injury issues this season and had appeared likely to leave Stamford Bridge when his contract expires in the summer of 2019.
The Blues have recently made the decision to try and renew Kante’s contract at Stamford Bridge due to a number of teams including Spanish giants Barcelona showing interest in him.

The Athletic claims that the west London club and the Frenchman’s representatives had fruitful discussions about the Frenchman signing a new contract with the team.
Although both sides were hopeful that a solution would be achieved, the term of the contract, which the two parties have not yet agreed upon, continues to be a significant concern.
The 31-year-old’s contract had been up for renewal at Chelsea, but the ex-Leicester star wanted a longer contract. Chelsea had suggested extending the deal for two years with the option of a third.
Both the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr and the Spanish giants Barcelona expressed interest in Kante.
