Chelsea could have a small goalkeeper situation on their hands this summer with a couple of issues to address.
You may well see both Willy Caballero and Kepa Arrizabalaga leave the club in search of more regular football, with Edouard Mendy nailing down that main number one spot.
Mendy himself has been excellent since arriving in the summer, but Chelsea could be left with just one first team goalkeeper this summer if the other two do leave.
But would a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma make any sense with Mendy being there and playing so well? I’m not so sure.
But that is what could happen, according to an exclusive report from 90min, who claim Chelsea are in talks to sign the goalkeeper this summer after it was announced he would be leaving as a free agent.
As I said, it seems unrealistic due to Mendy’s solid form, but I guess if you have a chance to sign a world class goalkeeper on a free transfer, it’s a discussion you must have.
