No, it wasn’t a dream ladies and gents. Yes, Chelsea did get crowned Champions of Europe last night in a 1-0 win over Manchester City.
Yes, there will be some very sore heads across the globe right now from Chelsea fans celebrating the massive win and triumph of listing this trophy.
What a night it was for all involved, and Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel finally got to speak to and meet club owner Roman Abramovich, who was inside the stadium and joined in with the celebrations on the pitch with the players, probably well into the night.
Abramovich hasn’t been able to be in the UK recently due to VISA restrictions, so you just knew he would be taking the opportunity to watch his beloved club in Porto last night. And the boys very much delivered for Mr Abramovich.
Tuchel met him after the win, and his response to what it was like, was hilarious and typically Tuchel!
“I spoke to the owner right now on the pitch. It was the best moment for the first meeting – because now on it can only get worse,” said Tuchel, as reported by Rob Harris.
