Chelsea FC ready to hand starts to four returning stars vs Tottenham

Four returning stars will start for Chelsea F.C. in the crucial weekend game with London rivals Tottenham.

Since the World Cup break, the Blues have experienced injury problems and have had to manage their fitness levels while playing a demanding schedule.

Reece James had a setback in his own injury recovery and was left out of the team for the weekend loss to Southampton at home, but he is expected to start on Sunday.

Graham Potter was warned by the medical staff that starting against the Saints would put Thiago Silva, Raheem Sterling, and Mykhailo Mudryk at risk for injury.

The fact that N’Golo Kante resumed training this week gave the Blues additional boost.

Kante, who is in negotiations to extend his contract, finished the first part of the session before going back to individual training as he gets closer to making a comeback from hamstring surgery.

The midfielder hasn’t played since August, so it’s anticipated he’ll be in great shape and ready to aid his club which would be a huge boost for Potter.
