Thiago Silva delivered his verdict on Andreas Christensen’s wondergoal for Denmark in their Euro 2020 decider on Monday night.

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen was one of many heroes wearing Denmark colours on Monday night.

In the end, there was nothing to worry about as Denmark thumped the 2018 FIFA World Cup quarter-finalists 4-1 to finish as runners-up to Roberto Martinez’s side, who made light work of Finland.

Whilst there were jubilant and emotional scenes from the Denmark players, staff and supporters at the full-time whistle, there was something for Chelsea fans to be excited about too.

Andreas Christensen scored a goal of the tournament contender with a sweetly struck effort from outside the box, prompting calls for him to play as a centre-forward from now on.

Someone else who was happy for the Christensen was none other than his club teammate in Thiago Silva.

That’s going by what’s spotted on social media.

As spotted by @willreyner on Twitter, Silva ‘liked’ a post on Instagram with a caption that reads: ‘Ruben Dias when his country needed him vs Andreas Christensen when his country needed him’.

The hilarious thing about the post was the fact that Dias was on the floor during Portugal’s clash against Germany and Christensen was celebrating.
