Chelseas over the years have been known for their firing and hiring managers at will. Despite the success recorded by the club since Roman Abrahimovic took over, coaches are still not given enough time to build an empire or a team for the future. The hiring and firing have characterized chelsea under their Russian billionaire owner, Roman Abrahimovic. As a matter of fact, no manager have spent more than two years since 2003.
Here are the ten coaches that have been sacked by chelsea since 2003 .
1. Claudio Ranieri
First to fall victim was former Leicester City head coach, Claudio Ranieri , who was axed from the job after his failure in Europe and bad results in the premier league. The main reason he was fired was because the chelsea saw a better coach.

3. Avam Grant
The Israeli dropped down the ladder to replace the departing Mourinho as he was serving as a board member of chelsea before his appointment. Grant can boldly beat his chest to say he is the first manager to lead chelsea to UEFA champions league final, as a matter of fact, he was just a spot kick away from winning the trophy only for John Terry to blew away the chance. He was then sacked and called back to the board
4. Luiz Scolari
The experience Brazilian coach was brought to steady the Chelsea’s ship but his time was shot lived at the chelsea dugout, owning to poor results.
5. Carlo Ancelotti
He became the second Italian manager to manage Chelsea under Roman Abrahimovic. Chelsea were crowned premier league champions in his very first season in charge of the London base club. The second wasn’t the same as he lost his dressing room which ultimately costed him his job.
6. Andre Villas-Boas
AVB was the second Portuguese and also the second manager to come directly from Porto to Chelsea after Mourinho, but he could not follow the full step of his country man who achieved so much with Chelsea. Just few months into his job, he the dressing room completely and the resultant effect was his sack.
7. Roberto Di Matteo
AVB’s sacking was a blessing in disguise, as his successor lead chelsea all the way to the Champions League final and eventually winning the trophy for the first time in Chelsea history. His reward for that success was a contract extension but he lost his job few months into his improved new contract.
Mourinho came to Chelsea for the second time after he was sacked by Real Madrid. He came saying he his more mature and more experienced and ready for the Chelsea Challenge. But once again lost his dressing room after winning the premier league title in his second year of his second coming.
9. Antonio Conte
Conte became the fourth Italian man to coach Chelsea under Roman Abrahimovic era. Conte won the premier league in his first season in England joining the list of very few who won the premier league in their first season. But things didn’t work out as expected in his second season, as usual he was sacked
