But first, Casemiro had a news conference to bid Carlo Ancelotti, Florentino Perez, and his Los Blancos family farewell before boarding a plane for Manchester to meet up with his new colleagues.
Along with his family, the 30-year-old was accompanied by the 18 trophies he won during his nine-year stint in Madrid.

The Brazilian added, as reported on Twitter by Madrid Xtra, “Good morning everyone. Nobody here knew me or my wife when we first arrived. We established our life and family in this young nation.
“I still recall how thrilled I was when I initially got the Real Madrid call. I was thrilled to have played at Castilla when I left Brazil because I felt I would have absorbed the club’s principles there.
“I want to thank everyone,” he said, “including my mother, my wife, this club, and all of the players and teammates. Toni Kroos and Luka Modri… They are too important for me to forget. Together, we achieved a lot.
“I’m sure I’ll return sometime. I want to return all of the love they’ve shown me. I’m eager to advance in a major organization like Manchester United.
