Carlo Ancelotti before facing Frankfurt in the European Super Cup:

“Frankfurt achieved something special. They were not among the favourites. They played great games, beating Barcelona at the Camp Nou with a style of counterattack football, great attention to defence and transitions at high speed.”

“First coach to win 4 UCL titles & win every top-5 league? I’m very proud. It has been an incredible season for both Real Madrid and me. Returning to Real Madrid has been very rewarding for me. I need to continue to be the coach of this great club and this great team.”

"We are ready for the final. The team is already in top shape. The joy and satisfaction you feel after winning the UCL title tend to stay. It makes you feel that no one should take your place.”

“UCL comebacks? It is a very fresh memory. There was also exceptional chemistry between the fans & the stadium. Thanks to the fans' push, we had all the comebacks in our stadium. You always have to believe. You have never to give up.”
“I believe that the key factors for our UCL title win were the humility and experience of the old players complemented by the energy and enthusiasm of the young players.” (UEFA)

It was and will be very respectful between the two benches, but it will be competitive. We do not like to lose. We know what’s coming, and we will be ready.”
