It is the annoying situation that isn’t appearing to be anywhere near ending anytime soon.
Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger will be out of contract this summer unless he and the club can agree a new deal to extend it. If they cannot do this by January, Rudiger is free to agree a pre-contract with another club to then join them on a free transfer in the summer.
The rest is entirely unknown, and only the club, Rudiger, and his reps really know what the deep situation is there, but one thing for sure is this isn’t the last we have heard about it.
Rudiger himself is currently out on international duty with Germany, and of course the press have been asking him about his Chelsea future, and the links with Bayern Munich being an option for him to go to.
As you can see from Christian Falk from BILD’s report below, Rudiger says he is happy at Chelsea but the interest from Bayern ‘honors’ him.
